Grupo Industrial MorganThermal Ceramics Mexico: HRH Prince Andrew, The Duke of York visited our Pachuca Plant
On the 9th February 2010 The Duke of York began his first official visit to a production site in Mexico. Our Pachuca plant, Grupo Industrial Morgan Thermal Ceramics Mexico division was selected from 600 Mexican facilities and from 900 UK investments.
"The Duke of York was met in Hidalgo by the British Ambassador, Judith Macgregor and Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong, Governor of Hidalgo's States, Aunard de la Rocha Waite Secretary of Industrial Development."
The visit by HRH Prince Andrew was to reinforce the links between the UK and Mexico, in commerce and investment. Since 2000, trade between the UK and Mexico has doubled, and is worth approximately 4 thousand million dollars per year.
Morgan Crucible is recognized for its innovation, producing insulating ceramics which have a variety of uses, for example, medical instruments, satellite systems and body amour. Grupo Industrial Morgan Thermal Ceramics has been successfully doing business along with Morgan Crucible's other plants in Mexico Atlacomulco and San Juan del Río for over 50 years.
At the end of the tour, The Duke of York expressed his positive and encouraging comments to the proud team of people in Pachuca, signing the visitors book his last words quoted; "I am very impressed with this facility".
