In 1988, when we became a subsidiary of the Morgan Crucible Company of Windsor, England, Thermal Ceramics was linked to a global network of refractory and insulation companies, setting the stage for planned growth and technological expansion.

During the 1990's, Thermal Ceramics acquired additional products lines including Min-K^® Microporous Silica Material, RPC^® Vacuum Formed shapes, Thermic Refractories Structural Board Products, MRI^® Fired Shapes, and the Manville US Fiber Operations, which were moved to the main plant and headquarters in Augusta, GA.
